About the event

Europe's largest annual volunteer meeting brought together 10,000 Red Cross volunteers in Solferino, Italy, in June 2019. Over 60 Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) from around the world were represented as the IFRC celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Trippus involvement

In collaboration with the Italian Red Cross and their national offices, Trippus was appointed to create and manage the registration processes for the thousands of participating volunteers:

• Event website and registration in English, French and Spanish for youth representatives from more than 130 international delegations.
• Registration and verification for all staff from the 28 regional committees of the Italian Red Cross organization.
• Registration and integrated payment solutions for the international participants traveling to Solferino from five continents, both on your own and in large groups.
• Bookings and payments through Trippus for e.g. Red Cross torches, over 7,000 tent beds and 15,000 meals.
• Mobile tickets with custom design for #Solferino2019 for on-site accreditation and Print on Demand services, Trippus event app and SMS communication in English, Italian, French and Spanish.

In addition, Trippus staff were on site throughout the week's event to welcome the participants together with the Red Cross welcome section representatives.
