Client Case: Chalmers University of Technology: ICED21
ICED is a conference on design within product development, and in August 2021 it was organized by Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic limiting delegates’ ability to travel to the conference, the organizers decided to run it as a hybrid event.
Some key facts:
- 700 participants from 37 countries
- 100 attending on-site, the rest virtually
- 400 speakers
- Up to 9 parallel sessions
The on-site participants attended both the physical and digital presentations together and got the in-person networking just like at a physical conference. With the Trippus Event App they could constantly stay updated on the conference program and interact with speakers on stage.
The online participants used the Trippus Digital Event Platform to access the conference, attend presentations and interact with speakers and other attendees. With virtual mingle rooms they could network with their peers in a digital environment.
Through digital solutions, event organizers were able to reach larger audiences with more visitors from all over the world. Participants appreciated the effectiveness of being able to participate remotely.
